Maine
For our east coast road trip, we’re starting at the top of the map. This Harley-Davidson escapade begins in Maine on I-95. Bikers can make their first tourist stop at the legendary Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, one of New England’s oldest and beloved amusement parks. While riding your Harley-Davidson along I-95 in Maine, stop at one of the state’s countless fruit stands. There you can purchase blueberries, Maine’s state fruit, as a snack to get you started on your east coast road trip.
There are four Harley-Davidson dealers in Maine, located right off of I-95. The northernmost is the Central Maine Harley-Davidson, located in Hermon, Maine. Next, there’s the North Country Harley-Davidson in Augusta. The L-A Harley-Davidson is next, only a few miles away in Lewiston, Maine. Finally, there is the Big Moose Harley-Davidson, located in Portland, Maine, which is a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat.
New Hampshire
The second state on our east coast Harley-Davidson road trip is New Hampshire. While it won’t take you too long to drive through this state, the road will be enjoyable, with plenty of places to see. With scenic views, this stretch of I-95 is sure to be a breath of fresh air on your Harley-Davidson road trip.
If you need to stop at a Harley-Davidson dealer in New Hampshire, there aren’t many to choose from. The Seacoast Harley-Davidson is the first and only dealership near I-95, located in North Hampton, New Hampshire.
Massachusetts
Once you get to Massachusetts, your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip is only just beginning. While I-95 skirts around Boston, there’s no harm in stopping by. Boston is a beautiful, historical city with great museums and tourist attractions. While in Massachusetts, be sure to break for some of its famous seafood at a local restaurant to fill up on clam chowder or lobster rolls.
You might need to go a bit out of your way to get to a Harley-Davidson dealership in Massachusetts. The only somewhat easily accessible dealerships along I-95 are the High Octane Harley-Davidson in North Billerica, Boston Harley-Davidson in Revere, and Monty’s Harley-Davidson in West Bridgewater.
Rhode Island
Rhode Island is a must-stop state on your Harley-Davidson east coast road trip. This quaint New England State has some famous tourist attractions, like Cliff Walk in Newport and the RISD Museum of Art in Providence. If art isn’t your thing, stop for Rhode Island’s acclaimed calamari and clam cakes.

Connecticut
Once you reach Connecticut, you’re about a third of the way through your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip. Like many states in New England, Connecticut is famous for its seafood. It’s wise to get your fill here because you won’t spot such high-quality seafood again until you get further south along your Harley-Davidson east coast road trip.

Next up is the Freedom Road Harley-Davidson in Branford. That’s it for Harley-Davidson dealerships until you get to New York.
New York
By the time you get to New York, you may need to have a bit of rest from riding your Harley-Davidson along the east coast. If you want to put your road trip on pause, there’s plenty to do while you’re in New York. Spend some time seeing the bright lights of Manhattan or lounging on the famous beaches in the Hamptons.
The first Harley-Davidson dealership you’ll come across in New York is the Empire Harley-Davidson in New Rochelle. If you go into New York City, you’ll find the famous Harley-Davidson of New York City store in Times Square.
New Jersey
On your way through New Jersey, be sure to stop in at one of the Garden State’s many famous beach towns. There, you can enjoy rides, boardwalk food, and sunshine. If your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip focuses more on tourist attractions, you can check out the world’s largest lightbulb in Edison, New Jersey.
When you first enter New Jersey, the closest Harley-Davidson dealership to I-95 is the Liberty Harley-Davidson in Rahway, New Jersey. If you continue to follow your designated route, you won’t see another dealership until you reach Pennsylvania.

The Brandywine Creek State Park is a great spot to stretch your legs and take in the great outdoors if you like being in nature.
While there are Harley-Davidson dealerships further south in Delaware, there are none along I-95. So, if you want to visit one, plan to stop in Pennsylvania or Maryland, or consider taking a detour into southern Delaware.
Maryland
Next up on your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip is Maryland. You can spend the afternoon walking around the Baltimore Inner Harbor to do some light shopping or grab a bite to eat. Once you reach Maryland, you’ve ridden far enough south to find some delicious seafood again, like the state’s famous blue crab.
Eisenhauer’s Chesapeake Harley-Davidson is just a few miles off of I-95 in Darlington, Maryland. A bit further south is the Harley-Davidson of Baltimore. Finally, there’s the Old Glory Harley-Davidson on Route 32, so you may need to detour from your I-95 road trip to check it out.
District of Columbia
Washington, D.C. should surely be a stop on your Harley-Davidson east coast road trip. D.C. is full of history and fascinating landmarks. If you’re a history buff, be sure to check out sites like the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian Museum. If you find yourself in the District of Columbia in the springtime, take in the beauty of the city’s cherry blossom trees.
While there, you can stop by the Patriot Harley-Davidson and the Harley-Davidson of Washington, D.C. dealerships. That being said, you may want to wait until you get to Virginia, as these dealerships are a bit off of our east coast road trip’s planned route.
Virginia
Virginia is a big state to ride your Harley-Davidson motorcycle through. This might be the perfect stop on your journey to break up into a day or two. You can spend some time at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden or visit one of Virginia’s historic battlefield sites.
The first dealership you’ll see in Virginia is the Harley-Davidson of Quantico, located in Dumfries, Virginia. Next is the Old Dominion Harley-Davidson, which is a bit further south, in Fredericksburg. There’s also the Richmond Harley-Davidson and the Colonial Harley-Davidson, which are the final two dealerships motorcyclists can easily access off I-95 before they leave Virginia.
North Carolina
Once you reach North Carolina, you’re not too far from the end of your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip. Don’t underestimate all that North Carolina has to offer. If you’re interested in a day of fishing and taking in the great outdoors, spend some time in Lumber River State Park. Or ride your Harley-Davidson through North Carolina’s capital city, Raleigh, and dig into some of North Carolina’s famous barbecue.
The first easily accessible Harley-Davidson dealership along I-95 is the Flying Iron Harley-Davidson in Rocky Mount. There’s also the Bulldog Harley-Davidson in Smithfield and the Fort Bragg Harley-Davidson in Fayetteville.
South Carolina
You’ve made it to South Carolina, the state of beaches and golf courses. If you’re a biker who enjoys golf, spend the day at one of South Carolina’s many beautiful courses. Or hang out in one of its historic cities, like Charleston, known for its southern charm and hospitality. Don’t forget to grab a bag of South Carolina’s favorite snack, boiled peanuts.
Once you ride your Harley-Davidson into South Carolina, you’ll run into the Black Jack Harley-Davidson in Florence off of I-95. After that, there aren’t many dealerships to choose from unless you don’t mind taking a slight detour off of I-95 to Summerville to stop in at the Summerville Harley-Davidson.
Georgia
Georgia is one of the last stops on your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip, so make it count. It’s bound to take some time to ride your Harley through this state, so break up the day by enjoying all that Georgia has to offer. Be sure to stop for some famous Georgia peaches and maybe even some shrimp and grits.
There are two Savannah Harley-Davidson locations, one on River Street and another on Fort Argyle Road. Those are the only easily accessible dealerships along I-95 until you get to Florida.
Florida
Entering Florida signals the end of your east coast Harley-Davidson road trip. That being said, you’ve still got a long way to go before reaching the southernmost tip. Our Florida route spans the state’s eastern coast, making it simple to stop at many of Florida’s famous beaches, from Daytona Beach to Miami.
